do YOU see them?

Today we had a really brief meeting, just touched base on some of our action items from last week (contacting restaurants for restaurant nights, contacting administration for the low-down on the 50/50 raffle show-down, etc. : ])

For those of you who couldn’t make it to the meeting, how are those action items coming?

List brainstorming ideas in yo comments!

Here’s a question to answer in your comment as well: What is the main reason you’re in ICU? What impacted you the most when you first heard about the situation in Uganda?

Love the recap, especially when I can’t be at the mtg! Thanx for posting it!

I am in ICU cuz i care about what’s happening to innocent children in Uganda. and i care about teaching US kids how to use their time, talents, resources to help the hurting world. :) Most impacted by how ‘normal’ it was for them to live in terror. So foreign to our average western lifestyles.

The main reason I’m in ICU. . .
Because I love Africa, and I care about the kids there A LOT.

    What first impacted me?
How absolutely horrible it is there, and how much influence WE could actually have to change it. =)

I agree w/ both comments — the kids. They are so young and have so much potential, and I hate to see the fear, pain, broken families, and destroyed lives when it could be prevented by us doing something about it. And at the very least, turning away from our own luxuries so they know we care!!

Oh yeah, I have a brainstorming idea — do a half day screening in the theater of Rosaline — no one’s seen it yet — and collect donations before they leave as a priority — if there are lots of donation collectors roaming the aisles, I predict lots of kids would give at least some change or something.
