Last Chance!
January 28, 2008 · 9 Comments
*it’s a pretty beasty post, so please read thoroughly :)*
Great job today with Change 4 Change! You guys brought in almost $82 just at lunch! I’m so proud of you! It’s our last week of Schools for Schools!!! We have to turn in all our S4S money by THIS FRIDAY FEB 1st! On Feb 2, I hope we feel tired and confident that we did everything we could to raise as much money for Sacred Heart as possible!
Here is the link again for the S4S store! Half of what you buy will go directly to our S4S account! Just think, if every person in the club bought one thing from the store, we would add almost $200 to our total instantly! http://secure.invisiblechildren.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?screen=SFNT&Store_Code=S4S
On Wed. 1/30 in rm 930, CORE will be sorting recyclables so we can turn them in for cash, so feel free to stop by and help us out! It’ll be fun! (I’ll bring some tunes…)
Also, if you have any ICU money lying around (ie: duct tape wallet money, recycling money, donations) you need to turn that into Mrs. Margrave’s room no later than Thursday, Jan 31. We want to make sure that every penny raised gets over to Sacred Heart before the deadline!
Let’s work our buns off, ICU!!! It’s for the kids!

Hooray for Change!
January 23, 2008 · 10 Comments
Wow, ICU! Change 4 Change was a humongous success! I am super proud of you guys! In just one week, we raised $384. 33!!!!! That’s incredible! And let’s have a HUGE round of applause for Emily M. who raised the most amount of money ($104.86 to be exact!) which earned her the coveted “Sunday” Bracelet DVD!
See how easy it was to raise that money? Feel free to keep the ball rolling, and continue collecting change! We have just 9 nine days left in S4S and we’re sooo close to our $10,000 goal!
Speaking of raising cash…. how’s Project KOPEG going? Have you been bringing in your used electronics? How about your friends’ and family’s? Have you asked your teachers if they would offer extra credit? (if your teacher does not have a KOPEG bag in their room, you can pick up one from Mrs. M’s room and put it in there for them) Project KOPEG could be a huge success, too, it’s all about how much we talk it up!

Hey ICU! It’s time to kick it into high gear! It’s our last couple of weeks of “Schools for Schools” (the competition ends at midnight on February 1!) So this is the time to pull out all the stops and try to raise as much money for Sacred Heart as possible! We are soooo close to our overall $10,000 goal, so let’s get even more creative! ICU club will be meeting the first Tuesday we get back from school (Jan. 15) so let’s make it a good one!
As for you, CORE, we have our first meeting of the fresh new year this Friday Jan. 11 at noon in Mrs. Margrave’s room! Can’t wait to see you there! We have a lot of prepping to do for Project KOPEG! (don’t forget to bring in your used electronics the first week back from school)

Loose Ends to Tie Up Before Winter Break

How are duct tape wallet sales going? We absolutely must get every single one sold by Friday December 14th! If you are having problems getting them sold, let Alli or another CORE member know and we’ll help you out! Keep up the good work, ICU!
You guys probably noticed during this week’s meeting that Mrs. Margrave’s room is OVERFLOWING with bottles and cans! We can’t have these sitting in her room and attracting pesky ants, so we’re going to do something about it! Please come to the Sorting Extravaganza on Monday December 17 at lunch in room 930! There are a lot of bags to get sorted so come and bring your friends! (we’ll have gloves this time! lol) Whatever doesn’t get done during lunch will have to be finished after school, so let’s make it a productive lunch!
Alright, guys! Good luck on all your finals! Study hard, but don’t stress too much!

Recycling Emergency
November 7, 2007 · 6 Comments
Hey ICU!
Thank you soooo much for your hard work this week! Keep up the good work… by recycling at the football game this Friday!
Ok so we didn’t discuss this at the last meeting, but there is a home game this Friday night 11/09! Amelia and I (Alli) have other obligations and therefore will not be able to make it to the game but… Ana has taken some serious initiative and wants to recycle for ICU on Friday night! She has already begun asking her friends for help on Friday night!Yay for Ana!
She’s going to need a lot of help so make sure you go to the game and do your part (especially if you haven’t shown up to any of the other games) Please show up at 6pm in your green shirts! Seriously guys, we made $90 at the last game, we don’t want to lose this opportunity to make serious $. It’s our last game! Let’s get a great haul!

Keep Up the Good Work!
November 6, 2007 · 6 Comments
Recycling week is going very well! We’ve raised almost $100 so far! It was really effective today when there were more people involved… and it was more fun too! Let’s keep the ball rolling and work this hard ALL WEEK! Look around your classrooms, and if there are any teachers with recyclables, we would love to pick them up this week during lunch!
If you are a member of NHS, still plan on recycling on Wednesday (the NHS meetings rarely last longer than 15-20 minutes) After the meeting, just head outside and join up with all the other ICU members that are going to be recycling their buns off (right?!) Come on, ICU! Let’s raise some serious $ so we can have it doubled!
